1. مؤمن همانند دو كفۀ ترازو است؛ هر چه بر ایمانش افزوده شود، بلا و گرفتاری‌اش نیز فزونی گیرد.
Believer is like the two pans of a scale; the more added to his faith, his ordeal will increase.
2. برای انسان عیب نیست كه حقش تاخیر افتد، عیب آن است كه چیزی را بگیرد كه حقش نیست.
It is not shame of a man if his right is postponed, but it is shame if he gives something to which he has no right
3. سجدۀ شکر از واجب‌ترين و ضروری‌ترين سنّت‌هاست.
The prostration of gratitude is from among the most indispensable and the most necessary of the meritorious practices observed by the Prophet.
4. هر کس با وجود دوری سرایم به دیدار من آید، روز قیامت در سه جا به نزدش می‌روم تا او را از ترس و وحشت‌های آن رها سازم: هنگامی که نامه‌های اعمال به راست و چپ پراکنده می‌گردد, بر پل صراط، و هنگام سنجش اعمال.
Whoever visits me in foreign lands, I will visit him in three times of the doomsday to preserve him from its dreads and fears: when the record of actions is delivered to the right and left hands, when passing Sirāt bridge, and when measuring deeds
5. حج فقر و تهیدستی را از بین می‌برد.
Hajj spoils poverty and depauperation.
6. بنده با خوش‌اخلاقی به مقام روزه‌گیر شب‌زنده‌دار می‌رسد.
Verily, a servant can gain the rank of one who both fasts during the day and keeps vigil at night, keeping up prayers, through his amiability.
7. بیشترین چیزی که امّت من به واسطه آن وارد بهشت می‌شوند تقوای الهی و خوش‌اخلاقی است.
The things through which my ’Ummah can enjoy Heaven most of all are piety and good temper.
8. هیچ دانش آموزی نیست که به در خانۀ دانشمندی آمد و شد کند, مگر این که خداوند برای هر گامی که برمی دارد عبادت یک سال را برایش رقم زند.
There is no learner who comes and goes to a scholar’s house unless Allah awards him one year pray for every step he takes (to there).
9. هر کس زبانش راست گوید عملش پاکیزه گردد، و هر کس نیتش خیر باشد روزی‌اش زیاد گردد، و هر که با خانوادۀ خود خوش‌رفتاری کند، عمرش طولانی شود.
He whose tongue tells the truth, his actions will be purified; he whose intention is good, his daily bread will increase; and he who is good-tempered with his family, his lifetime prolongs.
10. در پی سرعت عمل مباش، بلکه به دنبال خوب انجام دادن آن باش، زیرا مردم نمی پرسند در چه مدت کار را به سرانجام رساند، بلکه از کیفیت انجام آن می پرسند.
Don’t regard the action’s speed but follow the good performance of a task, for people don’t ask how long it does take but rather they ask about its quality
